Back from the dead… again

January 27th, 2009 by oblong pictures

Well, it’s been a while since I updated this place. Not sure why I stopped on such a cliffhanger, but stop I did.

As some may know by now, I won the Video Wars competition and got to go to London and sit in on the Adam and Joe radio show. Twice, in fact, because they very kindly invited me back again to appear on their Christmas/New Year’s show. Unfortunately, both for me and for the listening public, they made me do a song the second time.

Apart from that, I had a great time. Adam, Joe, the production folk and top Hollywood director Garth Jennings are all lovely people and did their best not to make me feel like a freak for being a grown man who plays with Lego for fun. I’ve saved recordings of “my” shows for posterity and you can download them from the links below.

Right now I’m looking at starting work on a new film. It’s actually an idea that’s been kicking around in one form or another for about four years, sometimes getting as far as the script stage, sometimes as far as having bits filmed. Will it be worth the wait? Will it get any further than it has the last few times I’ve tried to resurrect it? Only time will tell.

Where did you get the head that you used for the Joe minifig

The Joe head is the Shia LeBoeuauf head from the Indy sets, coloured yellow in photoshop to match Adam.
